Foot Fungus

Foot fungus in a person with healthy feet is an annoyance, albeit a strong one at times. The same condition in a person with diabetes or the elderly can open a foot up to bigger problems. It can compromise the skin and allow infections inside. These can quickly become serious, so the sooner the fungus is treated, the better the patient’s chances of healing and not needing more aggressive methods of treatment. If foot fungus is suspected, Dr. Bill Releford and the staff of the Releford Foot and Ankle Institute will treat the condition with a number of conservative treatment modalities initially. If the initial response is not satisfactory, then other treatment options will be explored.
