Plantar Warts
Plantar warts are small growths on the skin caused by a virus known as the human papillomavirus (HPV). They are sometimes solitary, but they can also manifest as a grouping, or a mosaic, which is more difficult to treat. Symptoms include thickened skin, pain, and tiny black dots. Normally, these will go away by themselves. If you want warts removed quicker than waiting for them to heal, Dr. Bill Releford can help you with that.Treatments for this virus include oral or topical treatments, freezing, laser therapy, acid removal, or surgical removal. After removal, follow up care is recommended to verify that the warts are removed and see if there is a recurrence
